This Academy Award winning documentary captures the mood of the nation during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, the singular event that plunged America into World War II. Every battle sequence in the film was reenacted in Hollywood but they are extremely realistic and appear to be actual documentary footage. In the story, viewers are introduced to soldiers and their families who, though they come from many different backgrounds, they were all American soldiers united through the attack that claimed their lives at Pearl Harbor.
