Fatty’s Film Farces, For Keystone

This collection includes seven films featuring Roscoe ‘Fatty’ Arbuckle from 1915. “Miss Fatty’s Seaside Lovers” has Fatty playing the daughter of a wealthy man who is being wooed by a group a men at the beach. This is the only surviving film with Roscoe ‘Fatty’ Arbuckle and Harold Lloyd. In “Fatty and Mabel at the San Diego Exposition”, Fatty and Mabel visit, disrupt and wreak havoc at the San Diego Exposition. In “Fatty and Mabel’s Simple Life”, the two plan to marry but Mabel’s father wants her to marry the landowner’s son instead of his farmhand so the two run off together and elope. In “Mabel’s Willful Way”, Mabel slips away from her parents at dinner and goes to a fair, where Fatty and another suitor try to win her attention. In “That Little Band of Gold”, Fatty plays a recently married husband who has already started to neglect his wife. In “Wished on Mabel”, a young couple slip away from Mabel’s over-protective mother during an outing in a park. “When Love Took Wings” has three male suitors trying to win a young woman over until one man takes her in his airplane in an effort to elope with him.
