Roy and Dale were certainly polished performers, but it was hard to do battle with Jackie Gleason’s ratings. Dale could sing, Roy could twirl his guns and shoot them too (as well as a slingshot, bow and arrow and even a Zulu blow gun)! Magician Mark Wilson floats Dale in space and even makes Cliff Arquette disappear (not a bad idea). Martha Raye makes an excellent second banana (and does a comedy routine on horseback!).
